Johnny’s Answer Left the Entire Classroom in Stitches!
Mrs. Parker decided to make vocabulary class a little more interesting.
“Today,” she announced, writing on the board, “I want you to name something that ends in ‘-tor’ and eats other things. Who wants to try?”
Little Timmy raised his hand first.
“Alligator!”
“Excellent!” Mrs. Parker said. “Alligators certainly eat other animals.”
Sarah waved her hand excitedly.
“Predator!”
“Wonderful! You’re thinking like a scientist!”
Then Johnny slowly stood up, wearing a mischievous grin.
“I’ve got one, teacher!”
Mrs. Parker narrowed her eyes. “All right, Johnny. Let’s hear it.”
Johnny took a deep breath and proudly announced, “My answer is generator!”
The classroom went silent.
Mrs. Parker blinked. “A generator? Johnny, a generator doesn’t eat anything!”
Johnny shrugged innocently.
“Well, my dad says Mom is a generator. She generates a shopping list, generates bills, and somehow eats all the food in the house!”
The entire class erupted in laughter.
Mrs. Parker tried to maintain her composure.
“Johnny, I think your father needs to learn a little more about vocabulary!”
Johnny nodded thoughtfully.
“Maybe, teacher. But Dad also says Mom is a refrigerator because she keeps everything cool until he does something stupid!”
That was it.
Mrs. Parker turned toward the board, desperately trying not to laugh, while half the class nearly fell out of their chairs.
Then Johnny added one final comment:
“And Dad says he’s a dictator—but Mom says he’s just a guy who gives orders until dinner is served!”
The classroom exploded with laughter all over again.
Mrs. Parker finally covered her face and sighed.
“Johnny, please sit down before you get your father invited to our next parent-teacher meeting!”
Johnny grinned as he returned to his seat.
“Don’t worry, teacher. Mom will probably make him come!”
